A Perfect Romeo ~a Poem
A Perfect Romeo
A perfect Romeo don’t only climb stones and vines
To prevent you from falling, he would the toughest climbs.
He won’t be pretentious, act as if he’s blind
Guided by his angel, follows him behind.
He fixes you bacon and egg with grilled cheese
In days when there’s none and nothing else to please.
If you don’t drink, he won’t cast spell on wine and keep his beer
He pours cold Coca-Cola in a glass to give you cheer.
A perfect Romeo doesn’t live by words of Shakespeare
He is a master of his own words there’s nothing to fear.
He says “I Iove you” a hundred fold
There’s not one lie to ever be told.
He is but gentle yet so passionate in his desire
To love wholeheartedly naked for your heart to admire.
He’d take you with him, together watch dusk in splendor
Where he’ll wrap you in his arms through all night surrender.
A perfect Romeo has a love that lasts anew
The world grows old but he’s love-struck to you all life through.
He is not a stranger to forgiving
He believes his love is all worth giving.
His mood is a spinning whirlwind of romantic surprises
His heart wears shining armour against poisonous vices.
Ever loyal and honest, brilliant and good like a sworn knight
A brave fighter yet a sensitive lover in his own right.
A perfect Romeo takes care of his Juliet’s sleepy head
One cold night he took a pillow and a blanket off the bed.
Wakes her at midnight to catch chase the gleaming Northern Lights
The darkest roads and skies far enough were beautiful sights.
And when Juliet becomes tenacious, deeply quiet as an ocean
Romeo tenderly patient retreats like a calm moonlight motion.
He’d delicately gather the first morning dews
Drop kisses on your cheek and take away the blues.
O Romeo, Romeo! Play Earth’s beauty with me until we die
We’re lost children under the ember sun and indigo starry sky.
May love not sour as orchards bearing fruit build hives
May sweet temptation bind within us all our lives.
